Live! [30 Jan 2008|09:40pm]

I know it's mostly discouraged to post fan-fiction here, but since this poor community hasn't seen that much action lately I might as well. It can't hurt to try and spice things up, hm?

Witch King, Here I Come!! [01 Jan 2008|05:17am]

daftedly
[ mood | OMG YAY! ]

I hope I'm not too late, and that this community hasn't died...
I just found this comm, and I'm pretty super excited! I'm a dork when it comes to the Witch King and all things Nazgul. Nazgul = total pwnage in my book. I'd never had a place to vent my fangirlism over the Witch King &Co. before, and up until now people just looked at me like a freak and edged away slowly from my strange rantings. ;P
Sauron and Melkor/Morgoth are awesome as well, although I'd be more inclined to saying yes to the Witch King if he asked me if I wanted a good time that night. ;) Lol.
I mostly write fanfiction, although I've never really done any serious stories starring Nazgul. I always get slightly freaked out that my writing skills will fail in comparison to J.R.R. Tolkien's. Although, it does make me feel better now that I actually have people to share my stories with who won't go WTF?! when they read it.

Can't wait to start the fangirlish squee-ing here!

I'm still here so I hope the community doesn't die. I'm working on my Pure Black Speech construction by the way. Once I get enough grammar and vocab made I might post some of it here (if that's ok).

Greetings [16 Sep 2006|12:25am]

durnai_yaeyokai
Greetings.  I just happened to stumble upon this community by accident--and because I am a devoted fan of the Lord of the Earth (aka Sauron of course) I decided to join.

Lets see, I first read LotR when I was around 9 or 10 and from the very beginning of things thought that Sauron was fascinating.  And to answer a question someone posted about Sauron's "true" Valarin name--unfortunately,Tolkien didn't give him one. *glares* We've just got Sauron, Annatar and all of his other epithets as canonical.

And I have to say I like the name Mordorks--it makes me laugh. Also I suppose I deserve to be one because I'm trying to constiue linguistical construction of the Pure Black Speech.  Geeeeeek!!!!! *grins*

Anyway just thought I'd drop in and say "hi".

(Walks into the silent community.)

I'm a female Mordork from Finland, soon turning 20. I first read the books in June 2002, and ever since I've been a fan of Tolkien's creations, but mostly of Mordor and anything relating to that wonderful land. I love the movies too, though I'm not happy with how they portrayed The Mouth of Sauron. Why would a person, perfectly capable of seeing, cover his eyes? (The Mouth was one of my favorite characters in the book, btw.)

navigatorsghost wrote something earlier:
"So, RotK, then, for content... great movie. Even if I did have to look away for a second when Eowyn killed the Witch-King, and again at the fall of the Dark Tower... did anyone else here feel like that, or am I really just too much of a fangirl?"

Ha ha, no you're not. I felt the same way. ;) After reading the book, I actually felt really depressed when Frodo (or Gollum, actually) managed to destroy the Ring. No more Black Riders or Dark Lords. Sob.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi to my fellow Mordorks.

Heh. Didn't know there'd be a community of Mordor enthusiasts at LJ.com until I found this place. Credits go to navigatorsghost for having this place listed on her profile page, thus allowing me to stumble across the link.

I heard that website links oughta be put behind LJ cuts, so...Collapse )

"... I knew that Sauron had arisen again and would soon declare himself, and I knew that he was preparing for a great war. How would he begin? Would he first try to reoccupy Mordor, or would he first attack the chief strongholds of his enemies? I thought then, and I am sure now, that to attack Lorien and Rivendell, as soon as he was strong enough, was his original plan. It would have been a much better plan for him, and much worse for us." ( Gandalf in 'The Quest for Erebor, Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle-earth )

Well, if he had, no Quest, therefore no 'The Lord of the Rings', therefore no -shockhorror!- fandom.

But seriously. Why didn't he, this Maia who had so cunningly manipulated Ar-Pharazon of Numenor? Everything that Sauron did after the downfall of Numenor seems to have been *hasty*... and, of course, a hasty stroke often goes astray and all that. Thoughts, Mordorks?

yes yes, I know we are all very happy ::smiles::

ah yes and it bothers me where orcs come from. I know they "were elves once, taken by the dark power. tortured and mutilated, a ruined form of life. and now...perfected" but they just like dig eachother up outta the ground...in the movies anyway...

The Eye [07 Jan 2004|11:12pm]

Was watching RotK and something occurred to me - is the EYE supposed to represent Sauron (as a personification thereof) or is it a device for Sauron (presumably inside the tower) to remain ever-seeing? For some reason I've always assumed it was the latter. What's your take?
